ULL would love to do this. I don't think they have the support or resources. Lafayette is not Louisville. As long as LSU takes care of business we'll be fine.

For that matter, college athletics as we know it may not exist in ten years. Nothing lasts forever, enjoy it while you can.

Yeah people seem to be deliberately misunderstanding me. Short-term LSU has all the advantages. But ULL does have better programs going in some sports, like baseball and softball both being better than LSU this year head-to-head.

And keep in mind that ULL is the second largest school in Louisiana with the third largest endowment.

It would get interesting real fast if ULL were invited to join the Big 12 IMHO.

I don't know what Louisville is like but there are lots of rich people in Lafayette. Drive through River Ranch and see the monuments people have built for themselves.

I'm not saying they're ULaLa fans or even LSU fans but there is lots of money in Laffy.
