State Farm is looking to move away from LA and MS.

This is one of the final steps in the process.

Leave those two states
Lower rates else where
Gain a bigger piece of the pie by being more competitive

i don't think sf is going anywhere. lots of old timer agents aren't going to give up their business, and sf is still adding new agents. la is one of their most saturated markets. they may choose to only write certain types of policies, but i don't see them fleeing the state anytime soon.
