So you are looking to RENT an apartment and have wasted thousands of dollars on home theater/video games? Perhaps you should look to buy a home/duplex rather than spend more money on equipment that will be outdated in 2 years.

Slight hijack.

Are there a particular brand of speakers that the OT recommends that I can use outside under a covered outdoor kitchen?

Looking for in-ceiling speakers.

I just moved to a new city. I plan on buying but I want to make sure this is where I'll be 5-10 years down the road, so I'm renting for a year. As far as wasting "thousands" of dollars, no. I have a PS4 and Xbox One, neither of which have been taken out of the box (I've been living in a hotel since December). That's like $1200, I make that in like 3 days and have no wife/kids. Not to mention I'm about to drop $50k on a truck and like the black man I am inside, vehicle trumps housing.

I'm not looking to get surround sound or any of that, I just want to hook up the items listed in the OP. The reason I was thinking about a projector is because I may be able to get one from work on the cheap, I know for sure I can get the pull-down screen for free.

As far as wires are concerned, I was planning on mounting the projector on the ceiling and just running the wires up the wall and across the ceiling. I'm not overly concerned about aesthetics.
