Look how many hitters go pro out of high school just because they don't want to waste a couple years using a bat they will never use again. They mine as well jump straight into a wooden bat and start practicing now.

I don't buy this. First off, it's not like you can just stop recruiting hitters, and secondly, you could argue that your pitchers don't need to be as dominating as they were before due to the advantage they have with the new bats, thus decreasing the value of a dominating pitcher and increasing the value of a hitter like Bregman. Also, I don't think there has been a significant difference in the amount of hitters that go pro out of high school since the new bats.

Because pitchers are going to college to increase their draft stock and take advantage of these bats. They know if they go to college they can put up sick stats and do nothing but go North on draft day.

I don't buy this either. You don't think the major league recruiters are aware of the new bats and the effect they have on the hitters and their stats? They also know that college pitchers stats are going to be inflated due to the new bats. That's what separates them from me and you. They can look at a pitcher/hitter and determine whether their stats are due to the bats or due to their abilities.

Again, this is going to hurt pitching. Pitchers are going to lose movement on their pitches forcing more balls to go smoother down the plate and allowing hitters to see pitches better. It will increase hitting but it takes away one of the greatest pitches in the history of sports, the curveball. It will not only hurt a curveball from its movement but the slider to. They will both still do what they do but on a much smaller scale of movement.

I also agree that this will hurt pitching, but isn't that exactly what we need to do? The bats are here because they make the game safer whether you think it needed to be made safer or not. Changing the ball is an effort to offset some of the effects the new bat has had. Plus, similar to hitters now hitting with a bat much more similar to the wood bats they will use at the next level, pitchers will be using a ball much more similar to the ball they will be using at the next level. I think this makes sense, especially because I don't think the new bats are going anywhere.
