Years with HoF hitting with everything off resulted in 97% of online games being 1-0 and very often going to extra innings at 0-0.
That isn't fun, or realistic in any way. Most people in here probably don't play a whole lot, some are new to The Show completely, so you're creating a gap in the league from Day 1 and they'll likely hate it.
That's why I said everyone should vote on what they want for settings.

So you think putting it at Veteran difficulty with guess pitch on will fix the issues and level the playing field? If so, I've got some beach front property in South Dakota I'd love to sell you. Would you want to face an experienced veteran of MLB The Show on easy mode, or a higher difficulty?
As I said, I've had a ton of games where it was 5-3, 7-6. In fact, I'd venture to say I've played more high scoring games on HoF than low scoring.
