i'd say the bigger issue is the "destination" repetition. the group (or parts of it) finds the magical destination. spend a season there. then something bad happens and it gets destroyed and they go on their own. find a magical destination. spend a season there. etc

terminus = the prison = the farm

I mean...is this not what would happen in the ZA?

people bitch about a show not being realistic enough, then when it is realistic...they bitch because it is too boring

in the ZA, the common person will just be going from safe place to safe place trying to survive, it would more than likely be very boring

there wouldn't be any zombies left if we're talking "reality" though

for narrative purposes, though, this is why this is a 2-3 season show. tWD may be the best example of my theory

the show is just rehashing and drawing out dawn of the dead over and over

*ETA: i can summarize. they've chosen to keep the most fantastical non realistic part (so many zombies) of the ZA and the most boring realistic parts of the ZA

Nope I'm pretty sure in a ZA you're going to see people constantly on the road, moving and moving like we humans did 20,000 years ago. It's against human nature to settle down, everyone knows that. The more the people stay on the road moving the more it's realistic because that's what humans do today.
