Just saw it, and I enjoyed it.
It is the first of the series, so like the first Hunger Games, it takes a while to set the plot but it picks up to a very good climax.
I don't think it's appropriate for younger kids without parental supervision IMO. Some parts were violent and in one scene, the main protagonist (a female) takes a serious beating from a guy. There are a many of other scenes that are bloody. Not really much as far as bad language that I noticed.
There will be comparisons to Hunger Games. One of the first that I can draw is that the villain is sort of an entity created by government system instead of the generic Hollywood standard "EvilCorp" or some villain company.
I would definitely go see it. It may not be the best move you'll see all year, but it will be far from the worst.
