My company(insurance replacement) has recently taken over Alaska as a territory. We are having an extremely hard time with shipping products up there. Many manufactures/distributors wont ship up there. In order for us to ship the stuff its costing a very large sum. So we are looking for some stores or places we can get some products up there, that stock it.
Looking for tools, power equipment, lawn garden, etc... Any help would be appreciated

First place that comes to mind is AIH (Alaska Industrial Hardware). They get much of their stuff from Canada instead of the lower 48 (mostly the exact same products as in the USA).
Home Depot and Lowes also has a presence up there. Home Depot seems to have the most efficient and cost effective shipping.
Keep in mind that Anchorage is supplied by two ships that dock on a weekly basis. There is no UPS Ground available...it's all air or boat

AIH, Spenard Bldg Supply. I guess it depends where in Ak you're looking to ship.
Spenard does a lot of bush orders if you folks are doing a lot of business away from main towns or cities. If it's in Anchorage you shouldn't have a problem shipping since it's the second busiest freight hub in the US.
Anything in S.E. Ak, I can help you with. Our company uses Alaska Air Cargo a lot since UPS and Fed Ex are unreliable in this part of the state.
