I think the prepared things are just starting points for the discussion. You want Carney reasonably prepared to discuss the things you want answers to. If you start asking questions about Estonia without any pretext, I doubt Carney will have an answer. Why is that useful to the media or to the public?

It is very seldom useful to the public for these very reasons. The majority of the questions are asked by liberal media members, therefore the majority of the questions are from the liberal perspective. Now we find out they are scripted and coordinated. Is it beyond the realm of possibility the reverse occurs and the Obama administration instructs the press on the questions to ask to enable them to get their message out in a seeming neutral setting.

Sure, a Jake Tapper or Chuck Todd will raise an issue every once in a while to appear there is objectivity. Then shortly thereafter they will be on their network shows defending the indefensible on behalf of the administration in spite of concrete evidence to the contrary.
