Even though what you can buy at Home Depot and what a licensed pest control company can buy are two different things, people would be sick if they knew how cheap the chemicals used for a $2000 termite treatment actually cost. Maybe like $400 or so with traps and it's not like it's super labor intensive to put some traps in the ground and spray around the house.

i'm pretty sure this is why termite/pest control companies lead the way in developing "non compete" law across the country

Hell, it made me sick back in '87 when I got on a contract and it cost me $35 for a ten minute inspection. I raised holy hell with the old man that did the inspection. I felt kinda bad after he left.
It now costs me $109 but it's still worth the money. Termites are terrible up here. Way worse than when I lived in Monroe.
