Tennessee was a much better recruiting destination than Auburn. Pearl is a good recruiter, but his impact singularly on LSU will be minimal. If Jones can continue to recruit well the 22 to 225 win seasons will come and LSU will again claim its spot amongst the elite programs in the SEC and nationally. That goal is closer than many would think. The program had to go through what it did this season to get there.

Maybe I missed the intent, but I don't think he was criticizing JJ's recruiting, he was pointing out that there was no way Pearl was going to replicate LSU's recent success in recruiting...

I'll put out an over and under of 3 seasons before rocky top is investigated by the ncaa for blatant recruiting cheating. What you think ?
