Matthews is my favorite WR in this draft and #3 for me behind Watkins and Evans.. Cooks is 4.

I want a big-bodied receiver to replace Colston. Matthews fits the mold.. and there is just something to be said about consistency. He is easily the most consistent WR in this draft. Look at what he did over the course of his career at Vandy with complete no-namers at QB. Absolutely consistent. People are all over the balls of Watkins, but he had a HUGE drop in production in his soph year after a stellar freshman campaign.

I am a big fan of consistency vs prospective future ability. It's not the absolute rule for me (for example, Clowney has not been very consistent but his upside is impossible to overlook) but it's a general baseline. It's why I like Aaron Murray as a mid-late round flyer for us. Great consistency.

I would be thrilled if we took Matthews with our first pick. It's not looking likely as the rising of OBJ, Cooks and Benjamin has pushed him into the low-mid 2nd on most mocks. Doubt he falls to our 2nd pick. A lot of people would call it a reach if we took him at #27... But I know what we would be getting. Guy is going to be the best WR from this very deep class when it's all said and done IMO
