Granted it was never in the level of Russia, but Chavez mocked gwb so it's not like this never happens. And this is much different in that it's in direct response to sanctions. Almost like Russia is trying to goat Obama into a stronger response.

That's part of the plan I think. Make the people scream for more, only to have Obama show how he'll take no action. Putin knows it, and Obama knows it.

I'd rather a POTUS be mocked for being perceived as an idiot than a pussy. W was far from perfect, but even some leftists said they gained a little respect for him after that hot mic episode with Tony Blair talking about how Hezbollah needed to "stop doing that shite." We need a commander in chief whose foreign policy isn't "BOHICA"
