I have had it done. I tore my ACL and also had a bucket handle MCL tear. I can't say that it made a difference one way or the other as I don't have a baseline to judge what the results would have been had I not had the PRP injection in concert with the reconstruction/surgery. I figured that it couldn't hurt and my MD suggested that I would allow for a better end result.
