if you travel a lot, and can use your personal credit card for the airline tix, you really cannot beat going with the official airline card. They usually throw all sorts of benefits at you for doing so, priority boarding, better seating, club passes, etc. Some will give you EQM for signing up, so it can push you over a status level.

But if you don't travel a ton already, those other cards can't be beat.

I personally still use my employee credit card when I worked at a bank. 1% back, and 7.9% for life although I have never carried a balance.

7.9% for life? I'd have that thing with a zero balance sitting under glass with a hammer next to it engraved with the words "are you absolutely sure this is necessary?"
