Last weekend. Spinnerbait. White/char. Sitting in 18ft bass suspended in 8-6ft water. Let spinner sink and reel slow. Only 2 bites, but 7lbs of fish in the boat.
I'm fishing Toledo this weekend. No bites today but saw males on the banks. Threw senkos, craws, jigs at them. On their heads. No takers. A cast net would have done the trick though

Try to find some Fat Alberts salt and pepper color.
Throw it near the fish and let it sit.
Caught one over 5 on a bed last year after th other 2 guys in the boat got tired trying to catch it.
Move your plastics as painfully slow as you can even dead sticking.
Think of it as you are trying to feel every inch of th bottom.
