Yeah I would be able to answer emails at 8 am the next day instead of dragging my arse out of bed at 10:30 pm every time the iphone beeps. Such a brave new world!

I'm pretty sure i could go about my life without a phone and it not be different.
The only reason i would want a phone is to be able to contact my wife and kids when they are away from me. Mainly the kids when they start driving and going places.
I do little to nothing on my phone outside of it being a phone. I'd be fine with a old school flip phone which i would barely use.
