As others have said, call hi back. If he ask for money at all its a scam.

Otherwise the company is paying him and maybe other recruiters to find candidates to interview. If you got hired and he found you he gets a cut.

I get these calls sometimes in the medical field. Sometimes complete bs, other times jobs I'm really interested in.
