He made vague mention of WoW on his blog recently, and made it seem like it was just about his 4th-5th priority in the general scheme of things, writing wise. Sounds about right.

I haven't checked into it in a while, but I think about a year ago that he claimed to be maybe 1/3 or 1/4 of the way through writing WoW. So if that's accurate then I think it means that it took him 2 years to get at best 1/3 of the way through the next book because ADwD was published in 2011. At that pace he won't come out with WoW until like 2016 or 2017.

I think the story is set up with so many incredible places to go that the final two books will have to be amazing. Now if he adds an 8th book to the series, all bets are off, but he's still a great writer and I can't wait to see where characters like Arya, the hound, Jamie, etc end up
