Macready is bad arse, and he would win most other bad arse contests. However, the character of Snake Plissken is built from the bottom up to be an absolute bad arse. When people hear Snake's name they tremble with fear. Burton is a little too goofy to compete with the others.
I'm pretty sure that one of the most bad arse video game characters is based off of Snake as well. That's right. This guy:
