You are getting a discount if you are catholic, look at their rate schedule. Just because you've never had to look at it doesn't mean other people don't. I've looked at pretty much all of the private schools cost and none are at 3k a year.
Please prove that I'm ignorant and show me where tuition only costs 3k a year.

High School or Elementary?

Elementary is about $3800 a year.

Catholic High Schools in BR are more; but it's roughly the same costs per year as the good day care centers in this same city to put it in perspective.

Like another poster said, it's all about priorities, and that's why most cant (choose not to) afford a private education. However I do believe that some genuinely cant afford it and there is no decent public school to send their kids to in Baton Rouge. Which at that point means they are not making much money, and should just sell and move to Ascension (assuming they live in SBR) and give them a better public school education. Creating a new city isnt the answer.

While I have no issues with the man, and he has probably done a great job in office, it has to at least be somewhat alarming when someone that's in the position to push some of these initiatives and changes as an elected official of that area, is also leading the charge for SG to break free.

IMO job #1 for Mr White this session should be getting the SGFD the funding they deserve, not to keep them out in limbo so that they can remain part of the agenda of the VSG pushers. That's not right. Give them the money they need, and let the debate go on about the other issues.

Is this right? I may be getting price gouged for a Catholic education in Rayne.
