Piyush's biggest mistake is not increasing taxes on oil and minerals extracted from within the state and refined in the state. I can see the logic though I disagree with it in cutting taxes on businesses like sales taxes and so on but you need to do what Huey did and tax mineral wealth that comes from or is refined in the state.
You can't change the state boundaries and the oil companies will pay the tax given the profitability of the oil and gas industry.
Piyush didn't have to sue BP he just needed to increase it's taxes.
