Three years is enough. LSU fans shouldn't have to endure patient waiting any longer. I'm a hardliner and have very little patience for success to come. LSU basketball can be big time like it was in the Scales, Macklin, Blanton, Redden, Carter, Jackson and O'Neal days.
You are referring to the days when Dale Brown was coach? How long did it take him to have a winning record in conference and make the ncaa tourney?

LSU's greatest coach started out with a winning season in 1972-73 14-10 (9-9) then went 12-14 (6-12), 10-16 (6-12), 12-14 (5-13). Three years after that we were in the top 10 and began a long run in the post season. It takes a little time to get the players you need to fit your style and JJ is way ahead of the pace Dale set. We've got a great class coming in next year with the #1 player committed for 2015. Dumping your coach after three years is a crappy way to build a program and those on this thread calling for him to be fired are dumbasses, especially those that do not attend the games.
JJ lost a very good assistant to Memphis last year, that hurt the defense. But, like Dale showed years ago, a good leader recognizes his weaknesses and brings in others with strengths in their weaker area(s). The game is too complex for one man to manage all phases and it is tough to recruit assistant coaches, too.
Be patient with JJ, we are on the right track.
