I would imagine he gets his full contract regardless. Why give Trent 4 years and not Johnny?
Three years is enough. LSU fans shouldn't have to endure patient waiting any longer. I'm a hardliner and have very little patience for success to come. LSU basketball can be big time like it was in the Scales, Macklin, Blanton, Redden, Carter, Jackson and O'Neal days. It can be big time with the right coach in place, which I don't think JJ is. He better find some better X/O (Particularly Defensive) assistant coaches to improve the staff and go for it next season because that's it as far as I'm concerned. No more patience. Get'er Done next season or it's time to clean house. Quit screwing around and pay the bucks to get somebody in here who can recruit, coach, motivate, organize and publicize.

2nd. What coach would consider coming to LSU if Johnny is fired after 3 seasons?
Here we go again with this tried and true, old and worn out excuse. Poor little LSU can't get a big name coach in here.

It's all about the money. Any coach that wants to be paid $$$$$$$$$$$ will come here. The LSUAD/TAF/Power Brokers just have to decide to spend the big bucks to get a coach with proven success. LSU Fans/Alums have to demand that it happens! If they pay him, he will come.

The 1st one of these guys didn't get to LSU until Dale's 4th year.

You are referring to the days when Dale Brown was coach? How long did it take him to have a winning record in conference and make the ncaa tourney?

Name the coaches that have turned really bad programs into really good programs in 2 years. Im talking about turning their current school's bball program around in 2 years.

LSU has never been a bigtime program. Don't confuse occasional strong teams with a bigtime program. Once per decade we land some studs and have a decent run. You guys that speak of the old glory days and how great we used to be either weren't alive or your memory is poor. LSU has had a history of underachieving teams for 40 years now. Once in a blue moon a good year or two then back to mediocrity.

So many people are going to be wrong about Johnny Jones. It's gonna be funny.

His recruiting class in 2015 is going to be incredible, yet you want to fire him and bring in somebody who can turn the program around?

It's just stupid.
