If he was surrounded with a such a good shooting roster as Dwight is that # would be much higher. Plus Marc's numbers have been down because he still nowhere near 100% and Conley's shooting slump isn't helping those assist numbers.
They play two completely different styles when it comes to offense. Marc leads the league in touches in the high post, you could probably count the amount of times Dwight catches the ball in that area on one hand.

The Rockets don't have a great shooting roster. The Grizzlies are right in front of the Rockets in 3 point shooting percentage.
Grizzlies: 35.6%
Rockets: 35.5%
So that argument doesn't make sense, either.
P.S... his assist numbers aren't really down. He averaged 4.0 per game last year. 3.6 this year. So just barely.
