An old man who was a control systems expert came to our facility to oversee some systems that were being rolled over and we were having issues. He had the marine tat on his arm. They tell me what a great guy he was fun and energetic.....until the day a Korean engineer kid walked in the shop. They said he got mad as hell and walked up to him and said something like "you a fricking jap?"....the kid was nervous as shite and replied that he was Korean. The old man relaxed but they said you could tell his blood was boiling over the possibility the kid was Japanese. They tell me it was tense as all hell.

Thanks for the service sir

That speaks volumes about that dude's emotional intelligence to dress down a young kid like that. There is no excuse for that kind of ignorance no matter what kind of military service you put in.
