A few years back, I was just south of 30, in really good shape and had been back playing as an adult for 5ish years. I also had played in HS and knew and understood the game pretty well.
One of my BRSA teams was practicing one weekend, and scrimmaged some of the BR Capitals.
If I were to sum up that experience with a phrase, "one legged Special Olympian" pops immediately to mind.

If you've never played any competitive ball past the age of 17 you're pretty much going to struggle, big time.
I had one of my players, who's a former IMG Academy player, try out with them last year. If he was fit he could have hung, but he was just completely out of his league.
