What type of drills should I expect to do.
on the whole how good are the jesters players.
and how fricked am I?
I'm really just doing it for fun/the experience but I will be trying my hardest which won't be alot because I'm not in the best shape.

Unless you played in college (or had college offers) probably pretty fricked.

Hahah I didn't even play in high school. Are these people really that good?
Posted on 3/7/14 at 9:27 am to MLSter
Yes. Patrick Mullins plays for them (played for Maryland). And some dude who was in Swansea's academy and played for Wales U-17. Just two examples.

You're definitely going to have a tough time. Go have fun and try your best. You never know if you don't give it a try

Yes they are all very good. If you didnt play HS, why would you think you can play professionally?
Its not impossible I guess but would be quite an accomplishment.

If you didn't play in high school, how did you get the tryout?
ETA: never mind Google is my friend. Saw the tryouts are open. But as someone said above probably pretty fricked.

At that level, most teams just have open try outs. You still think they would screen to some degree, though.

Yeah like I said I'm doing it for fun I'm not expecting to get anywhere but I also dont want to get completely shat on.
I assuming open tryouts won't have the best players because if they were good enough they would already be getting looked at or offered.
how big of a deal are the jesters? They actually pay you if you make

The difference between being a "good" player and being good enough to play NPSL is HUGE. A lot of very talented players (ex college) won't make the roster.
I'm not trying to discourage you. I'm just trying to give you an idea of what you'll be up against.

You're pretty fricked, but since you didn't play in high school, you'd probably be fricked if you were to play against a solid U12 team.

There will plenty of people out there with the same mindset (Well, as a fraction of the whole. There won't be plenty of people out there). You will be fine.
ETA: You'll probably be playing against others attending the tryout. They won't bring their team in to demolish a bunch of weekend warriors.

Prayers sent.

That's what I meant. I would expect plenty of people who didn't play in college to be able to handle a bunch of 12 y/os

Yeah - you're gonna have a bad time.
Are you the guy who said he could march into BRSA open and score goals at will, or was that someone else?

I don't know how BRSA men's open is as far as skill level. But here in Jacksonville I play in a similar league and many guys are former college players (D1, D2, D3), some former pro players (some MLS) who are still young, and none of them are anywhere near good enough for the local NPSL team. Just to give you an idea.
At the NPSL level it becomes a lot more about tactics and reading the game as well as skill level. Just because you can do some cool freestyle moves doesn't mean you aren't a shite player, for example.
