the situation with the Ukraine?

and,

how would he be handling the ACA implementation (would liberals and conservatives both be screaming if he were unilaterally delaying implementation as Obama is currently)?

Considering he foresight, I don't think it would have happened. He would have been much more respectful to the adversary we have in Russia and given more weight to continued diplomacy in the region while supporting Europe defensively.

There are a lot of variables here and no one really knows.

Putin may have seen Romney as a stronger president and not invaded in the first place, or Putin may have used Ukraine as a test case for Romney.

There is a bigger picture here than just the Ukraine, and it involves five years of perceived weakness By Obama and a weakened George Bush in his last two years in office.

This should be a stand lone thread.

If Romney had gotten elected and then started selectively EOing delays in the ACA, the shite storm would be unimaginable.

First he would have done manly things at camp David to intimidate the shite out of Putin.

Secondly, he would have played chess.

Thirdly, he would put boots on the ground for operation Crimean Freedom.

Romney would be shirtless standing on a tank in Ukraine challenging Putin to a wrestling match to the death, winner take all. For added fun, he would suggest that bears be added to the ring.

You could play this game from the left, what if Gore had been selected instead of bush. No 9/11, no iraq, no afghanastan, no housing bubble, no global economic collapse.

He'd be doing the same thing Obama is doing and everyone on the board would be praising him for it.

I would hope that he would have pursued the missile defense shield in Eastern Europe in order to keep Putin in check. If not that then some other endeavor that would have been costly and time-consuming for the Russians to match. The key is to keep Putin so focused on keeping pace with us that he doesn't have enough time to focus on things like Ukraine. President Obama refuses to think that way, thus giving Putin the upper hand every time.

I hope he would have stuck to his campaign promise and pushed the House GOP to start a bill that would completely rescind the ACA. The problem would be the Dems holding the majority in the Senate (especially Reid's position allowing him to just table anything he wants that comes from the House). More than likely this would have been the course and so there would be a stalemate. The difference between that what-if and now would be that mandate exemptions probably wouldn't have happened/been extended. If the GOP played it right, they would go into 2016 with huge momentum as the as-passed ACA would already be crippling the economy.

Libs would, but Republicans wouldn't be. I would say no one minds that the rules aren't being implemented. People mind that they are bing pushed back till after elections to cover up their shitty effects and not hurt the people who support them.
