Doesn't the Geneva Convention require uniformed military troops to identify who they are troops for?

If I am held as a pow yes true statement. However prior to that I sanitize my flight suit when flying certain missions no unit patches no name tags etc.

i was thinking the same thing. false flag operations and using another state or NGO's insignia is prohibited for sure.

Putin has violated so many treaties and broken so many international laws during this crisis, it is hard to keep track at this point.
