And these democratic institutions that promote 'good governance' are considered good because they align with western interest.

Why should we promote our interests at all then? You seem to think supporting like minded governments is a bad thing.

So-called Western interests happen to be democracies.

Not knowing exactly what is involved, I'd give the nod to the good govt. types over the authoritarian govts.

Encouraging Ukranian democracy is a no brainer and one way to effectively put a buffer around the Russian Bear without using the military. I call this good foreign policy.

You are wrong. Good governance is good governance, whether it is about corporate governance or government governance. Things like openness and transparency. It has nothing to do with politics other than an open government.

You're desperate and over your head on this topic.
