I like the current trend..it gives me comfort knowing that full tyranny is not in our near future.
Unfortunately, I have to disagree. Young people today are at least as dumbed-down as the older generation...if not more.
It is that ignorance that allows tyranny to flourish.

Example: Young people today (just like young people of every generation before them) are tired of being told what to do and how to live their lives.
So they think the answer is to vote in "the other guy" and things will begin to get better.
What they don't understand is that the "other guy" works for the same boss as the one before him. They're on the same team.
Until a generation fully comprehends this and has a plan to overcome it, nothing will change - just like nothing has changed in the last 100 years.

I just don't see that epiphany from this generation....unfortunately.

How ridiculous of it was to demonize/make illegal firearms solely based on cosmetic features in 1994? - (Thank G-d they put in a 10-year sunset provision).

And George W. Bush - absolutely would have signed a bill re-authorizing that same silly law in 2004, had it come to his desk. And he was "conservative" and "pro 2nd Amendment".

I think The Who wrote a song about this over 40 years ago...
