Meh, amphitheaters are overrated.
High-quality, indoor theaters are where it's at.

While a nice theater is obviously great and all, there is just something really fun about hot summer shows in amphitheaters. Oak Mountain in Pelham,AL and Verizon Amp in Alpharetta,GA are two examples of fantastic southern sheds. I'd love to see something like that in south LA.

The Woodlands, Lakewood, and Raleigh are all pretty standard and boring. I guess it would be better than nothing though.

Chastain Park in Atlanta is still great. Especially for the shows they allow you to bring your own Booz and food.

Verizon is excellent.

Mable House Amp is nice in Mableton but they rarely get any popular acts, though they do get some quality jazz groups in the summer.

Aaron's amp can seat around 18k but the sound quality sucks. Before Verizon, they got all the big outdoor concerts but Verizon's better location and venue has hurt it a lot.

These are the 4 in the Atlanta area. Of course, there is still Phillips Arena and The Fox Theatre for large indoor shows.
