Nobody would be taking those games out. The thread of the discussion was the contention that the Heat might end up with the NBA's best record (if they pass the Pacers) only because they play in a weak conference.

If you look at the games played this year that's obviously not what is going on. The Heat (at least the other week) had the best record in the NBA against the best teams in the West. If they are losing games to teams like the Sixers, Nets, and Celtics then that feeds into my annoyance with them for being a lazy team there's relatively little point in watching early in the regular season - but is obviously because they are taking games off.
