I feel like I'm pretty damn smart, math and physics have always come insanely easy to me, but I refuse to believe that relativity bullshite.
Why the f would how fast you are going have anything to do with time or how much you age?

An object's mass has nothing to do with how fast it falls

Like it or not, this has been verified experimentally many many times.
The usual approach is to put a bunch of atomic nuclei with known half-lives into a particle accelerator. Speed them up close to light speed, and presto - the half-life is suddenly longer by the amount Einstein predicted.

It's true. Morgan Freeman learnt me that.

I'm no physicists, but I believe it's been proven.

Most ppl believe the world is round like a "ball". In fact in 2006 british scientist proved that indeed while each planet in our solar system is "round". They are all flat like pancakes. But still retain their round shape. They rotate on its axis like a record on a record player. British scientist did not actually like the analogy of records. Rather they preferred the analogy of pancakes. Each planet is actually somehow "stacked" on another like pancakes. But from the naked eye, it gives the illusion of a circular circum phrase, or round "ball" form.
These scientist though had trouble publishing their conclusions. And were quickly dismissed by the scientific community as what one Canadian scientist called hogwash at the time. Till this day, this group of scientist stand by their assertion that indeed the planets are flat, and stacked in some shape or form like pancakes stacked upon each other. While most scientist are still skeptical till this day. Since then, they have been joined by other scientist throughout the world in trying to prove whether this scientific find, can indeed be some how proven and accepted by the rest of the scientific community today.
(From the weird but hard to believe. Google is your friend, their findings can be found by doing a quick search!)

Doesn't seem like they had much proof if no one believes it and they are still searching for ways to prove it.

I watched it about a hundred times the other day. I finally figured out the two bars in the middle are rectangles and the two bars above are closer to squares. The whole candy bar gets shorter by one square size but still retains the 6x3.
yeah, took me about ten times to catch that some squares were longer than others... cool mind trick though
However, this part is wrong..
quote:It doesn't get shorter by a whole square size, it get's shorter by only 1/24 of the average square height I believe (i'm a little drunk, but I think that's right). An amount that which is easily hidden with the crack space. The bar is a 6X4, it's still a 6X4 afterwards... it doesnt get any more narrow... so you obviously removed 1/24 of it's height. (ETA: Eh, after rereading, I think we mean the same thing. just the wording is confusing)
The whole candy bar gets shorter by one square size but still retains the 6x3.

well it's been proven. atomic clock on the north pole versus atomic clock on the equator was the first experiment I believe that proved it.
quote:It doesn't effect how much/fast you age, it effects how much/fast you age relative to other things moving slower or faster than you.
Why the f would how fast you are going have anything to do with time or how much you age?
It's all relative, bro.

to me, it's that so many people, even lamens, can be taught to understand or at least believe these types of things today. That's pretty fricking amazing.
