Also, the NCAA is a joke

welcome to the real world, a world that has rules. when there are rules, there has to be someone to set the rules, interpret the rules and enforce the rules. we have cops, judges, umpires and all kinds of institutions set up by government and by organizations to do this dirty work. most people seem to disrespect and even hate these people. at least the ncaa is a private organization that is utimately controlled by it's member institutions. the college members have the power to make any change the majority feels is necessary. it appears that said university's recognize that self regulation is necessary. i think the ncaa does about as good of a job as can be expected on an overall basis even though i don't agree with all of it's rules or it's interpretation of them. i'm glad i don't have that job or any of the ones mentioned above. it can't be fun having everyone criticize you, belittle you and even hate you.

sorry to bring reality into the discussion. now, continue the hate.

I'm far from an NCAA hater, but the biggest issue most people have with them is their lack of consistency in enforcing their rules. There is no actual set x violation = x punishment guidelines.

They have a history of turning a blind eye to serious violations while enforcing small ones. They have fairly hard evidence that DJ Fluker took money at Alabama, no response. Soccer player uses university hose to wash their car, fined. Two Oklahoma players ate too much at a banquet, have to donate $3.50 each to charity.
