yeah, if it wasn't for david duke, it wouldn't be a bad recommendation.
FC NOLA for the win though.
Definitely like the idea of basing the club badge off the flag of new orleans. The three fleur de lis's are a symbol not used enough for Louisiana's sports teams. They would look good by themselves on the back, right underneath a collar.
Also perhaps put the pelicans from the state flag above the badge? similar to Crystal Palace or Lazio.
FC New Orleans is already branded.
They are competing in this year's state Open Cup.
The real possibility of any pro team being in Louisiana will probably play in USL Pro. And I can tell you that there are people who are exploring many avenues to get this done. NASL and MLS won't consider New Orleans unless you have a loads of $$$$$$$$$$ and the right business plan. Real estate in this city is outrageous.
Right now all you have are the Jesters in the NPSL and a strong possibility of the Gulfcoast Premier League taking place in fall of 2015.
The average attendance that a New Orleans team can get in this day and age will be around 4-6k. And that's if you appease the hispanic population.
Have a look at last weekends game between Honduran powers Olimpia and Real Espana at Tad Gormley.
The Ultras celebrating after Olimpia went up 1-0 before half.
The other half of the stadium wasn't as dense but it was full.
They probably had over 12k people there. Great atmosphere.

What is Olimpia, what is Real Espana, and why are they playing in NOLA?
