agreed. Carnival should offer fair compensation for what they went through with little hoops to jump through. Then they should fight anyone who wants more than they deserve.
I expect the passengers that Carnival attracts to go for a payday, but how does Carnival not have a plan from a risk perspective? You would think they would be able to get people off a stranded ship within a day

It was cheaper for Carnival to tow the ship and passengers back than any other option. Take the loss on the lawsuits and be done with it.
