All QBs are taught that, but not all of them do that.
For example, Dan Marino once told Bill Walsh that he didn't care about looking for the first or second read. He just dropped back and looked for the first open receiver he could find.
Brett Favre was more like a classical QB like Dan Marino than a WCO QB like Joe Montana.
