Some solid battles but the wife and I agree that the knockout format of each person singing their own song was better than this. Oh well.

Last night's episode (because I was too busy raiding to watch it):

The Night of "Ush"'s freaky hat, Round 2!

Biff vs. Sisaundra: Biff has lots of fun when he's on stage and he has a decent voice, but Sissaundra is a fricking MACHINE! I loves me some James Brown so I am giddy they are doing Man's World.

First practice, Biff sounds flat when he was singing "Maaaan" at the beginning.

I much rather the contestants meeting with their families before the match than that stiff, bullshite with the coaches. I can't help but wonder if someone in power there is reading these posts. If so, gimme money for consulting!

Both artists are having great performances ESPECIALLY at the end but DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYUM how does Sisaundra hold those power notes for so damned long!?! She has to have like a 3rd lung or something. No matter how good Biff was on that song but there's just no way in hell he can beat that. At all. I agree with Adam and "Shak" on Sisaundra: her register is SICK and I think she may actually be from another world. This song was #SisaundrasWorld, dammit.

It's too bad Adam couldn't swap Delvin out for Biff, I think he's the better talent.

Ddendyl vs. Deja: Dendil needs to open her mouth more when she sings. It's too bad "Shak" wouldn't let Ddendyl play her piano on this one. Deja has the better tone to me, but I don't know if she's really ready for this level yet.

Deja had a couple of slightly off notes around the middle of her first line, I think it may be nerves. Good performance by both, I'm torn. I don't care for Ddendyl's strange throaty sound/delivery nearly as much as I like Deja's beautiful, pure tone, but Ddendyl has a much better presence on the stage and the experience to really get into the song (much better than Deja).

Deja wins, I think that was a good call.

Snippets;dc (don't care).

Morgan vs. Stevie Jo: Morgan sounds a bit too whispery and gravelly for me, like he can't sing without it. Stevie Jo continues to surprise me.

Stevie was on point with his notes at the beginning, Morgan was a little shaky. When Morgan gets rolling he's good but Stevie Jo was on the ball during the entire song and took many more chances. Morgan had a really good spot that surprised even "Ush", "Ush"'s hat & Blake. He needed more moments like that for me to give it to him though. I think it's a situation where they both pushed themselves, I just think Stevie Jo is a bit rather down the road than Morgan. "Ush" and "Ush"'s hat seem to agree.

Good job on playing with the steal, Adam.
