I like Lake Fausse Point SP. They have plenty of stuff for a man and his son to do. Rent a canoe (I think it's $5-6/day) and pull it up to your campsite. The cabins there are really nice, but you can tent camp too. They have some primitive sites you have to take a canoe to that would be pretty nice too. Right now would be perfect, before the mosquitoes get stupid thick.
