Chicot State Park is a great park for fishing, hiking, etc. They have cabins, rv sites, tent site, pier fishing, & boat rentals. The park is beautiful & the lake is great also. (there are two types of cabins here, the nice ones that sleep a bunch of people & are new & directly on the lake. Then there are some older cabins which still are on the lake but on the more wooded end. These are not as "fancy" but still have all the amenities & some great views & interaction with wildlife)Another upside to Chicot Park, it is located in Ville Platte, you can make a smoked meat/boudin run while there.

Another place that is nice, small & a little out of the way, is Hodges Gardens. The state took the park over a few years back & has done some great things there. The cabins are nice & there are some rv & tent spots too. The lake there is really nice & has a lot of fish. YOu can't bring your own fishing rig but there are piers & you can also rent boats there.

This is the correct answer.

South Toledo Bend SP also has great fishing.

If you want to go for saltwater fishing, Cypremont Point SP or Fountainbleu have cabins right on the water.

I've never caught much fish at Tickfaw.
