they just address the issues in stupid ways

FIFA has had a long history of major flaws in gameplay due to ridiculously accurate long balls (both passes and in the air). also, FIFA has historically had problems with speed (esp when players are on the ball)

they doubled down on the problem of distance passing, which is illogical. they tried to fix it by destroying first touch, to where even ronaldo and messi fumble through balls

then, to combat speed issues, they make any dribbler of the ball slow as frick in speed situations and have allowed defenders to have superhuman "catch up" speed

they should address this by making it hard to dribble at high pace unless you're an elite dribbler...but that makes too much sense

13 had flaws with the first touch, but it was immensely more playable online than 14
