Here's an idea. Why doesn't he go there and say what he thinks?

It's not about pandering or saying things he doesn't believe, it's about cherry-picking the parts of his platform that will resonate with whatever audience he is speaking to at the time. I once saw Pat Buchanan go on Bill Maher's show and bring the house down. How did he do this with Maher's very liberal audience? He did it by focusing on his foreign policy views which he knew liberals would like and avoiding his domestic policy views which he knew they would hate.

I don't understand why that particular liberal arse has to be kissed just because it is black anyway. Is he going to kook white liberal groups?

It's not just Black folks, it's any group of people he's talking to. Paul wants to cut off aid to Israel, but do you think it would be good politics to announce that at an AIPAC convention? You don't lead with your chin, and you don't stick your finger in the eye of folks whose votes you're trying to get. Paul is a politician trying to round up votes, he's not trying to rile up the Republican base. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

Very true, TG. Paul is one of the better politicos out there; smart guy that pushes the envelope on particular issues that appeal to youth, good instincts, and an amiable disposition.

Formidable candidate...decent Prez, IMO.

Exactly (and I can't believe I'm agreeing with trackfan ). It is not pandering it is selling yourself in the best light possible.
