I have no disdain for the right I just don't agree with this issue that is agrued by many on the right. This isn't really a right/left issue anyway. Many on both sides accept evolution.

This is arguable but they at least go hand in hand. Similar to the relationship between mathematics and physics. Evolution is the theory that underlies all of modern biology.

You said you thought it was a totally valid question to ask if it was the tea party or libertarians that are behind this legislation. That's an absurd question and you know it. Those are the obviously the only two groups of people that could sponsor such ridiculous legislation, right?

HS and middle school biology can be taught with or without the details of evolution. The roles of mitochondria and photosynthesis can still be taught. It's not the "evisceration of biology".

FWIW, I agree with your argument that this is a ridiculous piece of legislation.
