The Lady Tigers lost their third consecutive SEC game on Thursday, falling to the Georgia Lady Bulldogs 67-71. The team has hit a rough patch at the wrong time of the season to do so. After having won 5 of 6, they have now lost 4 of 5. Coach Nikki and her young coaching staff are gonna have to figure out how to motivate this team. During this stretch, they have developed a troubling pattern of not playing well in the first half, and then having to try and come back in the second. Although they've outplayed just about each team in the second half during this losing streak (save for the game against USC), the deficits have been too much to try and make up. Here's the writeup and video highlights from the game............

Plaisance finished with 29 pts 8 reb
Kenney finished with 17 pts (5-9 from 3pt) 5 ast

They are both playing at an All SEC level during the losing streak. Everybody else has been inconsistent. The bench only contributed two points in this game. Nuff said. Time to get it turned around for the stretch run.

looks like Alleva's investment in the women's program has been well worth it

She's way overpaid for the product she puts out on the floor. Alleva needs to give her one more year before he turns up the heat on her. We have talent and youth, but we are horribly inconsistent. The UGA team that beat us is their worst team in years. LSU should've won a NC when we had both Fowles and Augustus at the same time. Five final fours and we choked every time.

Surprised at the final score. It appears that the team battled back. On a news update yesterday, I saw a 22-4 UGA score out of the gates.

Playing 0 on 5 the 1st 10 minutes then 2 on 5 the next 25 minutes didn't help. At one point in the 2nd half it was 55-49, LSU down 6 and Plaisaince/Kenney were only down 14.
