Because the men who rallied around that flag were willing to (and did) give their lives fighting to prolong the institution of slavery in America. They also gave their lives to dissolve one of the greatest concepts of a nation in the history of civilization. The fact that so many of you want to honor that heritage is beyond me.

And so did EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY US FLAG up until the 13th amendment was ratified in the year 1865, something you fairy tale revisionists of history who constantly rework it yourself choose to ignore and honor. It's just as of late really that it's been seen as offensive, because it was misused by hate groups, and understandable when it's misused, just like when the US Flag is misused at those same events, yet you make no mention of that in your renting of your high and mighty self righteous garments.

THAT is revisionist history. That you think the south fought "for slavery" is as moronic as thinking the north gave two shits about the plight of slaves. Stop being a dipshit.
