I'm sorry but I don't really think the dual hypocrisy of both the democrats or the republicans, something i even touched on in my OP, is as relevant to the discussion as you do.

DS, the use of any 'power', is defined relative to the CONSEQUENCES of that use.
One thing is for sure, with the polarized electorate in this nation, we will see more Executive mandates and Constitutional overreaches in the near future. The Congress is at a stalemate...and Mexican standoff, in regard to dumping the Constitution and going Socialist...or going back. There will be NO going back. More like going forward...to insolvency...and only God knows what thereafter. Civil war of sorts. It's going on all over the World right now. An economic collapse would affect this spoiled bunch in ways that even the Third World won't. And throw in all the cultural antipathy and armed citizenry...and 'executive power' won't really matter. Ask Assad, or Morsi...or that dude down in Venezuela.
