The pitching staff is underwhelming. They should have coughed up the extra money and retained Santana opposed to giving Jason Vargas 8 million a year. I like the lineup and the bullpen but they're going to need Ventura or another one of their young arms to step up big if they're going to grab a playoff spot.

I had the MSB help me pick my MLB to cheer for last season. Sadly never made it up for a game. Gonna be in KC in mid-March to catch a comedy show.

I may extend my fan contract. I think I'll send a fan contract to David Glass and try to get some caps, a sweet old school satin jacket, and a handful of tickets every month.

Average at best. Hoping the best for them though.

i think i must be world leader of this bandwagon. i say that because i have consistently followed the royals just enough and made people aware of that on purpose so that when it all comes together, i will be right there pimping them HARD

I hope KC does well. If not, the Wil Myers deal will forever haunt them.

That rotation is brutal after Shields.

Love their pen, hitting and defense though

by finishing .500. That's what sucks about the lack of a salary cap in baseball. 2/3 of MLB teams know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they stand zero chance of winning the World Series. If I lived in a city like Houston, Seattle, Milwaukee, Miami, or Toronto, I wouldn't pay $200 to take my family to a ball game.

Have them as one of my AL Wild Card winners.

Will have a similar season to the 2013 Pirates and finally get over the hump.

They finished 86-76 last season. Correct me if my math is wrong, but I believe that is 10 games above .500 and was only 5 games out of the second wild card spot.

I'll always remember their final game at the K last season.

Justin Maxwell walk-off grand slam in the 10th to end a previously scoreless game.

No, Cleveland and Detroit are still better then the Royals. The Indians got better in the offseason and Detroit is still going to be good despite losing Fielder and their manager. Kansas City is still 3rd.

I have more concerns with the Indians rotation than I do with the Royals'. That's just my opinion.

Do you think Randy Johnson is a first ballot hall of famer?

I wouldn't trust Cleveland honestly.... Jimenez is gone, Swisher is declining, Santana at 3B, and a rookie behind the plate? I think the Royals are the more talented team

Hopped on them last season and they disappointed me. Young talented hitters and Hosmer needs to have an AL MVP type year for them to do well.

Jimenez isnt that bad of a loss honestly, Swisher wont be an every day player because of the guys we added and Lonnie Chisenhall is the 3rd baseman. He is about to have a great season. He was one of the top prospects in all of baseball a few years ago. Rookie at catcher? Where did you come up with that? Yan Gomes was a great catcher for us last year. He batted .294 with 15 HR. He also has a strait up cannon for an arm. Santana is going to DH alot.
