LSU as a program has always played down to weaker competition as long as I have been following LSU football, which has been since I was a boy in the 80's.

This is not a Les Miles thing. It is the culture of LSU overall.

Saban changed it some, but then lost to Arkansas in 2002, Florida in 2003, and struggled the entire 2004 season. His memory here is largely exaggerated when it comes to dominance.

Miles has been the best coach that LSU has ever had over a 9 year period and with great recruiting classes and two top notch coordinators, the next 3-4 years look to continue the trend.

I would rather have the Les Miles of 2014-16 than the Les Miles of 2005-08 because the game is totally different now and Les keeps adapted and winning 10+ games per year in the toughest division of the toughest conference in the history of college football. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I agree with everything you said except the above.

UAB?

Saban was worse than Miles when it came to playing down to bad competition. We have never lost to a non-AQ school under Miles.
